Tara Reid-tarded

Tara Reid, who has no talent besides drinking, is back on tv as the new host of E!'s Wild On series. The globe trotting show was formerly hosted by Brooke Burke, a true hottie who could have simply sat and read a book on the show and still gathered good ratings. In honor of Tara's new show, USA Today featured an article about the "actress" (i don't know what else to call her) and her role on Wild on Tara.

"This is nothing like the old Wild On with a bunch of frat kids going crazy," the bubbly Reid says. "It's about finding the culture and monuments. It's like you're following me on this incredible journey, and you're going to feel like you're one of my friends.

Nothing says culture and monuments like bunch of frat guys doing keg stands.

"You're going to see the people and the country and events and things we do. I feel like Willy Wonka, and I'm taking you into the chocolate factory. It's a classy show."

Classy? Seriously?

"When people see this show, they'll say: 'We've been picking on this girl for 10 years for no reason. She makes everyone around her have a good time.' And viewers will have a good time, too."

I think people are still going to be picking on you for years to come Tara.

Billy Blog Thornton Reborn

A note to the five people who read my blog:

Dear Friends,

I'm ready to post again. July was a very busy month and Billy Blog Thornton was put on the backburner. Here are some of the things that happened to me in the 31 days that made up the past month:
-Yarmouth Clam Fest Beirut Classic. Chris and I are upset by two college girls in the first round. Chris passes out at 7:30pm
-Yankees take over first place for a day
-I buy Harry Potter, read it in two days, and come out of it all with my favorite book in the series
-My Aunt Laura dies
-I went to see three great movies: War of the Worlds, Wedding Crashers, and Charlie and the Chocolate factory
-My ipod Mini breaks, and is fixed
-I finally watch Million Dollar Baby
I'm going to try and post every day. I may add more lists in because I really like lists. Here's to the month of August
That's all for now

Blog happens

The Baseball Dorks finally have a website!

It's in the early stages but it looks great. Although I highly doubt most of you that read this will know what the Baseball Dorks are.

The quick summation is that it is 7 of us from Yarmouth, Maine who like really obscure baseball players from the late '80's and early '90's. We specifically deal with baseball cards in this era. Hopefully as time goes by the website will take better shap

This blog climbed Mt. Washington

Yeah Monday!

It's time for random thought day.

1. Have you ever noticed that a large portion of mattress manufacturers begin with the letter "S"? Simmons, Sealy, Serta, Stearns and Foster, etc.

2. PinkFloyd is reuniting for the Live 8 show in London on July 2!!! That is going to be amazing.

3. Family Guy is the best show on TV. The second best show on TV is The Soup. It's a rehash of Talk Soup. Very good stuff.

4. The worst show on TV is Britney and Kevin: Chaotic. I watched the first episode and I almost vomited. Words cannot even express how awful this show is. It sends "Reality" TV back to pre-Survivor days.

5. Damn it's hot out.

6. Note to high school girls going to Aruba: While hanging out with 3 male strangers may seem like the fun thing to do, it's probably not the best idea.

7. Destiny's Child has
broken up for good. Finally!

8. 2 million people have bought Mariah Carey's new album. I challenge you to name one person who will admit to owning it.

9. I'm tired now

Live by the blog, die by the blog

One of my favorite non-commercial websites is www.jonkinsman.com. It's run by Jon Kinsman, a friend of my brother's (ane mine) and a fellow graduate of Yarmouth High School. One of my favorite parts of his site is his listing of the media he is taking in at the moment. I like that he lets people know what he is interested in, so I decided to "borrow" from his idea and list some of the media I am currently invovled with. I won't do this everyday like he does, but I figured I would do it once a week, or month, or whatever. Here goes:

Muzak: Coldplay "X &Y", Dave Matthews Band "Stand Up", Keane "Hopes and Fears", The Killers "Hot Fuss"

La Tele: Lost, Yankees on YES, Family Guy

Dee Vee Dee: Chapelle's Show Season 2, The Incredibles

Box Office: Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Bookworm: John Grisham "The Last Juror", Anne Tyler "A Patchwork Planet"

That's all for now
