My other blog is a Porsche

Well the Memorial Day Weekend has come to pass and it was a very good time. I got an iPod Mini with the money I raked in for my birthday. These things are better than I thought. I uploaded the 350+ songs I had on my computer, plus I put about 10 of my cd's onto the iPod. Great stuff.

Speaking of iPod's, I was watching the movie "
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" last night, a great 1980's movie I had never seen before. It is one of those movies that I could sit and watch if I found it on TV, even if I had just watched it the day before. That got me to thinking...what are other movies that I could sit and watch whenever they are on tv, regardless of how many times I have seen them? Here is a list I compiled...

1.
Field of Dreams. Perhaps the best sports movie ever made. So many classic scenes and great quotes. I love James Earl Jones' spech about baseball at the end. It comes very close to bringing tears to my tear ducts.

2.
Gladiator. When this first came out on DVD I watched it 4 times in the first week. Brendan Shank and I also watched it everyday for a week when it was on HBO one summer. Best Russel Crowe movie ever.

3.
Uncle Buck. This movie has a a special place in my heart. Annie and I watched it togethor on our first date-like event. John Candy is great and there is a classic mother-daughter relationship story at the heart of the movie.

4.
Star Wars. No explanation needed.

5.
Christmas Vacation. Best Xmas movie ever. So many great moments in this movie. If you've never seen it then you are a deprived little child.

6.
Raiders of the Lost Ark. One of the best movies ever made. I've never met anyone who dislikes this flick. Raiders has a little bit of everything.

Well that's my list. I'm sure there will be more to come in the future. Like
Glitter.

5 years of college and all I got was this lousy blog

To celebrate my 24th birthday I have started a blog. Ok, that's a lie. You don't celebrate your birthday by starting a blog. You start a blog when you are bored at work and would rather be at home watching Family Guy reruns.

24 years old....craziness. I'm starting to push 30. I know, it's still 6 years away, but that really is not that much time. To put it in perspective, I turned 18 only six short years ago and that feels like yesterday. There are few perks to being 24...it's not as useless as 19 but it is still useless. The only saving grace I have is that in one year I will be able to buy alcohol at sporting events and concerts in Massachusetts! Nice!

This is just a blog opener. My entries should become more interesting as time goes on. If you are looking for political rants about how bad the government is, then you should probably go find another blog to read.

That's all for now
